I just realised I haven't shared this months awesome sketch from Purple Pumpkin with you! And surely coming into the weekend, you'll be looking for some scrappy inspiration to get you started, right?
Our sketch this month designed by Chantal looks like this...
And my layout, using the latest You're Savvy Kit from Scrapbook Savvy which is still available in the store for the bargain price of only $25 for over $30 worth of product...and I managed a whopping FIVE LAYOUTS from this kit, can you believe it?!
A closeup of the new Dusty Attic flowers from Scrapbooking Delights (which are still available, you NEEEEED some of these, they are just divine!) as well as the super cute button & doiley from Purple Pumpkin.
Upload your take over on the Purple Pumpkin Blog by the end of April for your chance to win some super yummy prizes!
A closeup of my journaling as well as the chipboard title which I've inked and then outlined with black pen to make it 'pop'!
Wests vs Dapto - an action page of my boy on the field. Another great WOW title which I've left bare other than the outlining with black pen, and then dimensional magic'd to give it some texture. I've coloured in the football brown as well to make it look more realistic.
A happy day here in my scrappy world...last night I had my friend Kristy (another VLDA Mum) come over and buy some goodies to get started on her own scrapbooking journey, LOVE sharing the scrappy love! And tonight my bestie Linda is coming over to eat yummy thai food and scrap the night away with me while my hubby is away camping with the kids. Love my life, and even though I'm missing my family while they are away its SO nice to have the company of good friends while they're gone.
And to top it off, I'm heading to the Hunter Valley tomorrow afternoon once the family returns with my little girls to visit Peta & Meah and the other kids...before a five day trip to Melbourne and scrappy retreat with all the VIC girls and my beautiful cuz Donna next weekend. I can't wait!
FINALLY (only six months later!!!) I have sat down & completed the two layouts from Kerryn's Savvy Delights Retreat Class from September 2011. I LOVED working on both of these layouts, and the instructions were just so super clear that I had no trouble doing them on my own.
Yikes - Emma & Bronte all dressed up at San's 2010 Halloween Party. I love the spiderweb drawing on the background, and couldn't believe how easy this was to do with Kerryn's instructions!
Closeups galore...firstly of the journaling...
...then the coffin & skull, a super cool technique in the step by step for the 'webs' on your coffin...
...then the layering in the clouds...always LOTS of layering in Kerryn's work which I just LOVE!
Monster Alert - again at San's 2010 Halloween Party but this time of my Cooper boy all dressed up in his knight get up.
Closeup of the journaling and layered title, so much detail in these layouts which just makes everything *pop*!
There is SO much product in this kit, I am planning at least another two layouts with the leftovers (and there is actually instructions included in the kit for both layouts PLUS a card and OTP project).
Go grab a kit here, you won't regret it and will just love getting an inside look at how Kerryn scraps!
Have you had a chance to check out the latest sketch on the Stuck blog yet? If not, it looks like this....
And my take, using the now SOLD OUT February We're Savvy Kit.
I got a massive FIVE LAYOUTS from this kit for the tiny price of only $25, how good is that for the scrappy budget! I love to push the boundaries and see just how many layouts I can get from a kit, do you? Check out all the other Savvy Kits still available here and see which one you would like to play with next!
The photo of me in this layout was taken by by the gorgeous Sandie from Sandie Mallon Photography at Peta's retreat last October, thanks Sandie, I'm having so much fun scrapping the pics you took!
Make sure you stay tuned for the next Stuck layout to be released on the 15th, and upload both your layouts for April to the Stuck blog for your chance to win some awesome sponsor prizes!
Tonight is the last chance to upload your layouts in the gallery for our March Cybercrop which began last Friday! Its been a fun CC with even ME finding time to do a couple of layouts!!!
I hosted the Blind Scrap Challenge on Sunday night, basing my layout around a page that I'd done using a kit from SFS, of Bronte's 3rd B'day Cake made by my friend Deslie.
While I gave the girls the instructions, I decided to create another layout using my own steps...and came up with something that looks the same, but different...and another layout done for the albums! This is Georgie waiting for Cooper at school pick up time...I don't know how many time I've said 'stop hanging on the rail' in the past two years!! I used another SFS kit for this layout - the Amy Tangerine Kit which is now on sale for only $25.
With only a day to go, I did Tara's Sketch Challenge in a flash last night, it took me less than 45mins from start to finish!!! The sketch looked like this...
Here is my take using the remnants from my March You're Savvy Kit which I've just about demolished! Me, at my Eighth Birthday party...
Can you tell which one I am?! Can you believe I still remember each and every friend in that photo, makes me smile :)
I hope you had time to join in with the Cybercrop fun this month, there are always lots of Savvy prizes & spending money to win...and any reason to get another layout scrapped is a good one, right! See you in the Savvy forum soon, we've just released our April Challenges too...always something happening!
I am a mum of three, a very lucky wife of the best man there is, and I work nearly full time in Real Estate as a Property Sales Assistant. I love to spend time with my family, scrapbook my family, spend time staying fit & healthy, in between running around my very busy sporty kids. I am so lucky and blessed to be living this wonderful life. xx
