Did you...

...blind scrap with me in the Savvy forum on Saturday night? If you did, I'm SURE you're hanging to see the layout from which my instructions were taken! Here it is (again using the She's Savvy Kit for March, god I'm getting some mileage from this kit!!!).

A great day out with friends, on Ezz's 30th Birthday. :)

A big day here for me and my babies - my boy went off to school with his first school project (yes he has blue hair - it was crazy hair day at school today!), I hope his footy field made it to the classroom in one piece!

And right now my Georgie is at her very first Troupe class at dancing, all by herself until Grandma & Grandad pick her up. Can't believe she is getting so big and independant! Thank goodness for my parents as we couldn't do all this for her dancing without their help. xx

Happy Thursday! One day till the weekend. :)

Still playing...

...with this months kits, once again using them till their complete & utter death and loving how much I get from them! I generally get five pages easily from my kits, and sometimes even six just by adding another sheet of cardstock. Such great value. :)

My Boy - using the current He's Savvy Kit, of me & Coop last year on a family day out in Kiama. :)

Don't forget that this months He's Savvy Kit featured a gorgeous embellishment pack from Purple Pumpkin, only one left in the store so be quick if you want it!

And again with the She's Savvy Kit, little Bronte eating oreas, so gorgeous. xx

Busy few days here, with the shop being at retreat, Dan being in Melbourne and the normal day to day hectic-ness of this house! Had some very exciting news today that Georgie will be starting in the Entertainment Troupe at dancing this week....bit nervous, she's still so little but doing so very well that I just can't hold her back! Might just have to get myself a third job to pay for it, but thats another story... ;)

Hope your week has started well too. :)

Time for Coffee = Time to Blog!

While I'm sitting at the computer watching all the facebook updates on the current flood situation in the Illawarra, I thought I'd have myself a coffee and get another blog post underway. Lots of friends are flooded in or out of their homes and the roads are chaos. Stay safe everyone. xx

Over the weekend I had a chance to do this month's Savvy Sketch which could win you a $25 voucher in the Scrapbook Savvy store. Here's the sketch created by Anthea...

and my take, using the new He's Savvy Kit for March (which you'll still find a couple of in the store).

This one was the sketch challenge over at Handmade by Suzanne, this one jumped out at me when Charm posted it on facebook today. Thanks Charm! xx

Did you spot the GORGEOUS Purple Pumpkin button & doiley? OMG they are to die for! The doiley wasn't quite the right colour for my layout but I quickly fixed that with a quick spritz of Black magic glimmer mist. :)

There are only two of these gorgeous kits left in the store, so if you want one best head over and grab one before they're gone!

Move More Eat Less - Month 3

The start of my third month in my Move More Eat Less way of living and things are slowing down for me weight loss wise, but I'm tapping away at it every day and getting fitter as every week goes by. I'm losing more in the way of measurements than actual kilograms at the moment, but thats fine by me as I can see the diffference in myself and the way my clothes are fitting me. I feel great, have more energy and my body fat percentage has dropped by an astounding 6% since the day I started all this on 10 Jan this year. In my eyes, I'm combining this new lease on life and fitness with my 'one little word' - moderation. I am not obsessing, I am not killing myself with over-exercising or under-eating. I am becoming fit, becoming healthy and creating a wonderful life for myself and my family revolving around looking after ourselves.

Hows your weight loss or health goals going? Would love to hear from you. xx

My 'pretty good' layout...

So last night I had a Friday night at home. No crop. No plans. Just at home. And you know, it was really great! I chilled on the lounge with the boys, watched the footy and then did a bit of scrapping (and trashed the loungeroom with my supplies in the meantime!). Dan went to work just after 9pm and I spent some time on facebook. All good apart from the noisy neighbours up the street having a party and vibrating my house with their 'doof doof' music!

Anyway, I did manage to finish one layout and got another started (which I can't share cause its for a commission). I showed Cooper when I finished this page...he looked at it closely, analysed it, read the journalling and the title....then looked at me with a little nod and said 'its pretty good, Mum'. I was like 'WHAT! Just pretty good!! I thought it was awesome!'. He shrugged at me and handed it back. Pretty funny...not sure when my 6yo became a scrapbooking critic...but anyhoo!!

Here it is, my 'pretty good' layout... ;)

Pics from the Back Seat - using the last of one of the He's Savvy Kits from last year, which featured some of the gorgeous Basic Grey Origins range.

The little pink dress....

Had to share! I bought this dress before xmas. Saw it on the sale rack and couldn't leave it there. It was MY PINK afterall. ;)

Way too small a size for me, didn't even bother trying it on. Had it in my head that I would buy it for Donna's b'day which is end of April, so a good four months from xmas and still six weeks from now.

Don't know what just possessed me, but I tried it on tonight. Got nervous when I saw the zipper in the side...mmm thats NEVER a good thing even in clothes that ARE my size.

BUT.IT.FIT!

I can't believe it. Still a little tight, but it did up...all the way to the TOP!

So motivating! Might need a NEW dress for Donna's birthday yet, eh?

Savvy Kits are coming...

...I promise! Just running a tad behind this month, with a delay in a certain girl kit product and now my parcel being held up in customs. I have my fingers crossed each day for the final box to be on my doorstep when I get home, and you'll be the first to know when it arrives!

Just to remind you how AWESOME the boy kit was last month, here's another layout from mine...

Playdate - one of the other school mum's held an open house play date one Saturday last year for all the kindy kids. It was a fab day for everyone - the kids had a blast and the mums had a great catchup and get to know everyone kinda day.

Remember, if you want to secure your kit before release head on over and purchase a subscription which not only means you don't miss out, but you also get a discount for subscribing!

Thanks for visiting!

Stressful days...

Any of you mums out there will relate to just how stressful it is when our babies are sick. We've had a couple of days with Cooper that I would rather forget! Friday afternoon I dropped him at his friend's house for a sleepover, as he went inside I noticed a bite on his leg but he said it was ok, just looked to me like a mozzie bite that was a little red. Saturday morning his friend's mum dropped him home and asked Dan if he thought it could maybe be impetigo? Saturday afternoon the swelling got worse, Cooper started to have some pain and the 'bite' was looking a little odd to me. Off he went to the medical centre where the doctor diagnosed impetigo and gave him an antibiotic. He had to rest, we had to clean and dress his leg, and he needed ice for the swelling. He seemed ok on Sunday, still a little sore but wanting to play. For some reason Sunday night I looked up impetigo on the internet (as you do!) and the children's hospital website said that we should making sure all the scabs are soaked off in the bath. So off I go at 8.30pm last night to run a bath, only to open the bandages and find a horribly yucky mess which totally freaked me out. With the girls in bed I couldn't just up and go to the hospital or medical centre, so rang my friend San who I'd been chatting to about Coop earlier. She told me to ring the hospital, which I did and they put me through a wonderful hotline with real nurses to help called healthdirect Australia. I cannot express enough just how wonderful this service is, if you're ever in doubt before rushing off to the emergency room they talk you through everything. The lady I talked to was just fabulous and totally eased my mind. Anyway, she told me what to do and that he'd be fine until the morning but to get him to the doctors first thing. So off we went at 8.30am this morning, our wonderful family doctors got us in straight away. Turns out he DOES NOT have impetigo but cellulitis which is an infection from a bite. A swab has been sent off for testing and he's back on the doctors on Wednesday, but to say I'm watching him like a hawk would be an understatement! The joys of motherhood, eh... :(

Just to lighten the post, here's a couple of pages from last weekend at Peta's, still have lots to share.

Superheroes - Cooper & Caleb at Cj's birthday party last year, they had such a good time! I've used an old He's Savvy Kit for this one.

Ward Grandkids - my kids & my SIL's kids altogether on Good Friday last year, using the November We're Savvy Kit which you'll still find a couple of in the store.

Thanks for visiting. See you soon. xx

*oh excuse me!*

I nearly forgot to share my layouts from the very entertaining crop at Delights last night....excuse me!! The laughs were neverending and omg the mojo was flowing big time for me with four layouts done! Ok...I didn't leave till around 1.30am...but thats ok... ;)

My Girls - a beautiful photo of my besties Linda & Leesh taken by my other gorgeous friend Loz from Red Door Photography. Love these girls. Have used the Cosmo Cricket Circa 1934 range for this one, just perfect for those black & white photos, and the current monthly sketch over at Scrapbooking From Scratch.

Floor of the Shower - another crazy layout of my girl Georgia, god she cracks me up!

Pot of Gold - I have waited so long to scrap these photos but the moment I saw these Bella Blvd papers I just knew they had to go together. I still can't believe I managed to get such awesome photos of the rainbow that ended so close to our house!

Give Me My Dummy Back! - my Bronte was so little in these photos! Love these everyday moments that mean so much. xx

Thanks for visiting!! See you again soon. xx

*sigh*

I'm not a doctor and I don't know the technical terminology, but I do know that sunshine activates our happiness glands." ~Jessi Lane Adams

Oh, that was a good sigh! I just got back from a lovely lunchtime walk. I LOVE how that breaks up my (already great) day at work. Nothing like the fresh air, the sunshine and the walk along our beautiful oceanfront in Wollongong. My iPod playing on shuffle in my ears, thinking about whatever is on my mind and finding the positive in it all. Plus its Friday, what better day to be reminiscing on the wonders of the world...I LOVE Fridays! Fridays mean the weekend is nearly here - my weekends always starting with a scrappy night out before a couple of days with my gorgeous family. xx

Can't wait for tonight to go and play at my friend San's shop, with a full house and a bunch of great girls to boot. Thai for dinner and of course some scrapping, can't beat it.

The rest of the weekend is looking pretty awesome as well, with a quick visit from Peta tomorrow afternoon, some of the girls coming to see her for a scrap session and Miss Emma spending some time with us as well. Dan is working over the weekend to earn some extra dollars towards his Melbourne trip and our QLD family holiday both coming up really soon. Its all happening!

And just to keep with the upbeat tempo of this post...some happy scrapping to share!

Playgroup Christmas Party 2008 - look how little they all are! Omg!

Strong Man - my crazy BIL showing off his muscles! Dan was teaching Coop how to skim rocks but of course Scotty just had to take it a step further. LOL! I used a very manly kit from SFS for this one.

My Beautiful Family - this one was a lift from a layout in the current Scrapbook Trends magazine. Love that I can take inspiration from someone else's layout but mine somehow ends up so very different. I've used the gorgeous Echo Park Walk In The Park range for this one.

And finally 2yrs - my gorgeous neice Molly at the beach on her second birthday, isn't she just the cutest!

Thanks for visiting and hope your Friday is FABULOUS! :D
