Lovely Saturday afternoon...

...catching up with my girlfriends at my Lorraine Lea linen party with Nat. I know people get sick of these party plan things...but it really is a good way to get your friends together for a chat and a catch up. I did have to bribe my girls with Mars Bar Slice which the kids pretty much devoured in the end....but never mind! I'm hoping to get a gorgeous black & pick doona set for my bedroom...just need to find one more party booking! Let me know if you're keen (and local, of course). :)

Here's the rest of the layouts I managed on my quick trip away this week, the four I did at Loz's on Wednesday night.

An old Pagemaps sketch.

Pencil Lines sketch #161.

And a couple just because...

I'm looking forward to some more scrappy time with a couple of the girls tonight after the children are in bed, and not much on the agenda for tomorrow apart from Nippers in the morning with Coop. All in all a happy and pretty stress free weekend, just the way I like it.

Hope yours is the same! Till next time... xoxo

A quick trip!

After deciding at 9pm last night that I was going to drive to the Hunter to visit Loz & Peta sometime soon....and THEN trying to figure out a time, next week being no good as Peta was working, the next week impossible as Dan was at a course....my darling husband said to me 'Why don't you go tomorrow?'.

So I did, and here I am. Spent the day today doing Peta's amazing four layout class at Scrapbooking from Scratch, was so lovely to catch up with Kate, Amanda, Lois and all the other girls.

Now I'm at Loz's, ready for a night of relaxation and scrapping and just maybe a bottle of wine....ok, you know me better than that, there is absolutely NO maybe about that! Hehe!

I know that you want to see the four pages I did today with the amazing Peta, so here they are:

This photo was taken by Loz, a perfect shot of my two boys.

Me & the girls were cooking on Xmas Eve, and while Daddy was taking photos of us, Cooper had to jump in and pretend he was actually involved in it all, LOL!

Emma & Georgie on our day trip to Kiama last October.

And my niece Chloe, this photo of her is about a year and a half old, she has grown up SO MUCH since then but still has that same cheeky smile, god love her!

And here's another I did at the end of the day, just for good measure of my little family. Five layouts in less than five hours, gotta be happy with that!

Thank you to my man for being so good to me, and happily taking over the responsibilities of the babies for a couple of days to give me a break. Love you! See you tomorrow. xoxo

Do you ever have those weeks....

...where you just don't feel right? A bit off, like the world is spinning around you, like it all doesn't make sense?

I'm having one of those weeks, nothing seems to click and everything is an effort. Not sure why, I'll get through it, just wish its over as quickly as it started.

On a lighter note, some scrapping.

This is a just because layout from our QLD holiday in 2008, slowly getting through them. Just got the 2010 QLD holiday printed, so I best get my butt moving!!!

And the monthly sketch over at Anna's Craft Cupboard, love how this one turned out, always love the sketches over there, especially since Wendy has been creating them!

And lastly the most recent Stuck Sketch for which I'm a sponsor this month, using the He's Savvy kit from Scrapbook Savvy, of which there are still a few available! Gorgeous colours this month based around the BG Origins range, one of my fave ranges from BG of late!

Thats it from me today, hope your week has started off better than mine, it can only pick up from here eh! :)

Scrapbook Savvy Blog

Keep an eye on the Scrapbook Savvy Blog for all the latest product updates and news on what is happening in the store!

I've just updated with some awesome new products that we've got in this week!

Hope to see you in the store. :)

Busy busy!

Between a crop day, a crop night, normal daily routine and LOTS of new product arriving at Scrapbook Savvy, its been one crazy week and I really don't know how it just disappeared before my eyes! :s

But its all good, I'm loving every minute of what I do...just wish I had a few more hours in my day! The exercise went a bit astray this week, just ran out of time unfortunately which makes me sad. A new week will be here before I know it though, so will just aim to improve that aspect of things.

And scrapping, well I've managed a bit with the crops this week and think I still have some I haven't showed from LAST weekend. Might spread it into a couple of posts so as not to bore you all too much... ;)

Week 6 of my 52 Weeks of Me, this week talking about the fitness group I go to and how much I really do enjoy it when I make the time to go.

Week 7, me & my gorgeous friend Peta, loved our time together last weekend and CAN'T WAIT to see her in a month at Kate's retreat (or before maybe, depending on babies being born, Loz up there and Emily down here).

Cybercrop pages from last week's Love Cybercrop @ Scrapbook Savvy, we had a ball!

This one was Kayla's Challenge in which you had to write a love letter to someone on a page, mine is to my two best friends Alicia & Linda.

Anthea's challenge which was a Choc Strawberry colour theme (or you could choose Choc Mint) and had to include the classic title from Forrest Gump about life being like a box of chocolates.

And I would've had my blind challenge page to show off, but it was snapped up by Scrapbooking Memories before I even had a chance to show the girls on the forum!!

Hope everyone has a scrappy weekend planned, as usual I do and am looking forward to another night with the girls after the kidlets are in bed tonight.

Bye for now,
Sar

Did I tell you...

...that I've been published this month?

The current issue of Scrapbook Creations shows a layout of my Georgie girl (directly opposite to my gorgeous friend Kate's page)...

Cool huh, doesn't matter how many times it happens, I'm still SO exited to open a mag and see my pages...and the kids are just as excited as I am! Cooper has already told me he wants to take one of the magazines with him in it to school for show and tell! <3 <3 <3

Savvy Delights Night Out!

A few happy snaps from Friday night...

We were putting yummy hibiscus flowers in our wine, isn't this photo of San holding her glass just amazing! She is going to use it for this week's 52 page.

All of us (with the cute waiter 'Ben')

Me & Pj

Sandra & Di at the Harp

Me & Erin (aka Ezz)...we've been friends since kindergarten, and then she started coming to crops with Megan! Small world eh...

Thanks again girls for an AMAZING night!

Peta is here with me for the whole weekend, with all the kids, and everyone is having a ball! I'm loving Peta's company and the kids have been having so much fun...oh, except when Cooper punched Cj in the face, but we won't go there! ;)

We have a very romantic Valentines Day dinner planned....no husbands and scrapbooking after, of course!!!

HAPPY VALENTINES DAY, blog readers, hope you've been spoilt. xoxo

Some More of Me!

Here's the latest pages of me...

Week 2 (because the last Week 2 page I did was actually Week 3, had my dates all wrong!). This page is about me meeting my gorgeous cousin (well, kinda cousin) Donna, on my QLD holiday.

Why kinda cousin, you ask? WELL, its a funny story actually...

Donna had been a customer since I bought Savvy, and then we became friends on the Savvy forum. Soon after we became Facebook friends. One day Donna messaged me on FB to say that I was 'friends' with her cousin. I replied saying 'ummm, no....thats my cousin!'. Long story short, Donna is my Uncle's niece....SO, we're kinda cousins! Cool huh? What a small world though, it amazes me all the time.

And this one is all about Cooper starting school, and Mummy having to say goodbye to her little boy.

Another Savvy crop coming up this Thursday, let me know if you'd like to join us! :)

Big catchup post!!

Well, its been a busy week which was followed by a VERY busy weekend! Friday night crop @ Savvy, busy day Saturday with birthday parties & footy rego, then scrapping Saturday night with Juzzy. Today, another rainy day so Kindra & Alicia came over to play...us downstairs while the kids played upstairs (and trashed my clean house in the meantime, argh!).

ANYHOO, lots of layouts to show, I think there are still some from before this weekend even...so here we go. :)

I'm absolutely LOVING the October Afternoon Report Card range for all the school photos I have to scrap at the moment! This one is a just because of Cooper & his preschool friend Clay.

This one was the January 15th Sketch over at Stuck Sketches, just perfect for this page of Cooper and his other best friend from preschool, Jonty.

This one is Sketch 172 over at Pencil Lines, and I used the She's Savvy Kit for January with a few added bits & pieces.

I'm being a bit of a challenge queen at the moment and taking up any that I can find time for...I was very excited to win last month's prize over at Crafty Sketches, so have given their new sketch a go. Just LOVE this one, had fun playing with the dimension of cardboard and lots of layering.

Ok thats enough of a share for now, I'll show more soon...its time to relax this Sunday night before another big week starts!

Cheers,
Sar

OMG! Sold Out?!

Sold out on the first day!? I never thought I'd see that so soon into this whole kit thing we're doing over at Scrapbook Savvy....but thats right, the She's Savvy Kit is sold out already, at 9pm on the 1st of the month. Unbelievable. Thank you so much girls for all your support, I'm so excited and so pleased that we are putting together something you obviously love! Can't wait to see what you all do with it...we better have LOTS of entries in the kit challenge this month!! ;)

Luckily for everyone else though, we still do have some of the He's Savvy and We're Savvy Kits left. Here's a look at the the whole kit...I'll even be mean and show you the one thats already gone. :p

She's Savvy

And a layout I've created with this kit, using the February Sketch over at Savvy which this month was created by our brand new DT Member, Anthea. Don't forget to join in on this one before the end of the month and you could win $25 to spend in the Savvy store.

He's Savvy

I played along with Peta over at SFS last night with a blind scrapping challenge, and here was the end result using this brand new He's Savvy kit.

And finally, We're Savvy!

You'll have to head over to the forum and check out the posts from Loz, Lisa & Emma on this one to see what they've done with this one.

I know kits selling out is exciting, but its not THE MOST EXCITING this that has happened today. My little (big) boy started school! He looked so handsome in his uniform and made his Daddy & I so very proud, waving goodbye and being SO VERY HAPPY to be at school. No tears, no sadness, just a very keen little boy who was excited to be starting big school. Love you Coop, and good luck for an amazing first year. And of course, some photos to finish off.

Anyway, nearly bedtime, early start for boxing training in the morning!
