This Girl...

...makes us laugh & grin! She really does. She cracks us up each and every day with her funny little comments, her amazing sense of humour at the tender age of 2yrs & 4mths, her dress sense and omg those cheeky eyes! This little girl is the light of our universe and I can't imagine one single day without her, our beautiful Bronte girl.

I headed over to Creative Scrappers for inspiration on this one, and basically jumped at the first one to match my photo, which was Sketch #110.

I've used the Echo Park Sweet Summertime range, some of which you'll still find available in the Savvy store.

Thanks to the awesome bunch of girls that filled my day today at our first school holiday crop day, having you all here for my crops is so much fun and I appreciate so much each and everyone of you. xoxo

School Holidays have started...

...and I'm feeling a bit like this already....

If there were no schools to take the children away from home part of the time, the insane asylums would be filled with mothers. ~Edgar W. Howe

No, not really...it has been one of THOSE days...but it IS Monday so I'm putting it down to that and tomorrow will be a better day. OF COURSE it will be...its crop day at Savvy! Lots of people coming to play with school holidays, and even some kids coming to keep mine company for the day. Looking forward to it. :)

On a different note (cause they really DO make me happy!!), check out my happy Dragon kiddos today, aren't they cute!

Here's one of my latest 52 Week pages, me & Dan on our mini break to Berry a couple of weeks ago. I can't believe how quickly the latter weeks of the year are coming up, its a bit scary! I've used the Echo Park 'A Walk In The Park' range for this one.

By The Fountain

I loved the fountains at the bottom end of the Mall in Wollongong when I was a kid, I remembering walking along the edge of them holding my Daddy's hand, jumping up and down and splashing in the water. This day we had a dentist appointment and my Georgie loved the fountains just as much as I remember loving them. :)

I used a She's Savvy kit from a few months ago for this one, with some handmade doilies by Joan and lots of glimmer mist. I'm sure I've said before how much I hate scrapping with purple...but this kit just kinda worked for me. I had fun crumpling and sanding the Coredinations cardstock for something different. :)

A gorgeous Sunday here in the Gong today, and I wasn't even too hungover so have enjoyed it thoroughly. We've been for a play at the park and e went shopping for more Dragons supporters gear for the kids for our big Grand Final Party next weekend, so excited our boys won last night!!! Go Dragons!!

Go watch this clip over at the Dragons site, so awesome! It is Back Rower Ben Creagh again leading the team song after the 13-12 victory over the Tigers to advance through to the Grand Final. Bring on next Sunday!

My Old Girl

Trev (my highschool sweetheart) gave me my chihuahua, Caramel, when I was only 13. When I moved out she stayed and kept Mum & Dad company...even sleeping in their bed! She is now 16 years old...and all of a sudden she has turned into an old lady. She is very grey, is not moving fast anymore. This particular day was a bad day for her...she could barely walk, and we really throught we were saying goodbye. She's still here though, two weeks later and seems a little bit better...but we probably won't have her around for too much longer. :( I still remember carrying her in my shirt as tiny puppy with a broken leg. Beautiful girl.

This was the latest blind scrap over at SFS. :)

Looking forward to a night out tonight for San's birthday...nearly time to start the getting ready process, seeing as I HAVE to be at her place for 4pm. ;)

2011 Savvy Delights Retreat

Bookings are now open for next year's retreat from 15-18 September 2011! For anyone that came along this year, you'll know what a ball we had! And for anyone who didn't and wished they did...here's your chance!

Head over to the retreat forum to find out more!

Check out my layout from our group photo this year, using the gorgeous custom made chipboard piece from our wonderful sponsors Memory Maze.

Note Miss Tara in the front row...we were all waiting out in the cold for the photo to be taken but Tara was missing, so we all joked about her coming out in her towel...and then she did! OMG talk about wet your pants funny! And the pose, LOL! That could be you in the front row next year....hehheeee!!!! ;)

I am Lucky!

Some days I think to myself 'why did I get myself into this?' and by 'this' I mean everything....the business, the kids, the big house (and the mortgage that goes with it), the weight issue, everything in my life that requires some kind of effort. Some days it all seems to hard, too much work, an inconvenience I suppose.

But on days like today when I am spending quality time with my girls, taking them to swimming lessons which they love, hanging the washing while they're playing on the trampoline...its days like this that I realise I AM SO VERY LUCKY!

Not everyone has the opportunity to be a stay at home mum, who can come and go as they please and not really have 'work commitments' holding them back. Not everyone is lucky enough to have an amazing husband who works so hard for our family, never complaining about his shiftwork, and working so hard every day to better himself and his career. Not everyone has the financial luxury of not HAVING to go to work...and that is something I probably take very much for granted. Although sometimes things are tough and there are bills overdue and less money in the bank than there should be...we really are in a good position and do not lack anything at all. Not everyone has their own business which purely pays for them to be creative, whilst also creating the most amazing social life with events, get togethers and crops very regularly which keeps my group of friends strong. Not everyone is lucky enough to have three amazing, beautiful, smart and healthy children. And not everyone has three little people that look up at them every single day with that look of 'you are my everything'.

Regardless of how much I weigh, how tidy my house is, how up to date my bookwork is...these little people LOVE ME, as does my husband. Endlessly, totally and without question. And most days I forget this. :(

Most days I totally take my life for granted and this is something I need to stop doing, because in the eyes of many I probably have an AMAZING life. You know what, I DO have an amazing life and I need to start remembering this. We only get one life, one chance, and I am sick and tired of wasting it on the pathetic little 'problems' in my world.

I need to be a more positive person. For my husband, for my children...and most of all for me.

'I am my own unique self - special, creative and wonderful'

Rant over, and onto something scrappy...

A page I did 'just because' the other day with the remains of an old She's Savvy kit.

Off to get a few things done before the after school madness begins, seeya, and thanks for listening!

Feeling meh...

Don't know what it is about Mondays...but after the awesomeness of our weekends, Mondays just seem to hit me hard and leave me feeling really 'meh' for lack of a better word.

I should be scrapping, or working, or something....but I'm not. I'm on the lounge, have just folded a ton of washing, now watching some tele and surfing the online scrapbooking world.

Just cause I have a few layouts I haven't shown yet, here's one, to make this post at least a little cheery!

This was the blind scrap over at SFS last week, me at the Good Friday crop at Scrapbooking Delights...

Alright, I'm off to surf some more, will go and visit my blog feeds....leave me a comment if you're surfing too! :)

I just felt like scrappin'...

After getting my little girl's bedrooms sorted today, I sat down this afternoon and just decided to scrap something. A random page kit pulled out of my bag, which turned out to be a Pink Paislee Starlight papers that I got from Scrapbooking Delights. Here's what I came up with:

A 52 Week page of my big boy's birthday.

And Cooper again as he left preschool for the last time. :(

Love Sundays, best days now that Dan is home and we get to spend every single weekend as a family. Just relaxing on the lounge watching a movie now, seeya!

Sept 15 Stuck Sketch

Another fortnight, another gorgeous sketch over at Stuck?!

Here's my take, using some of Jillibean Soup's Easter range released earlier this year.

Today marked a big event in my house (apart from it being my big brother's b'day xoxo). Dan spent the day building bunk beds for the girls....and my baby is not longer in her little bed, but in a big bed! She was VERY excited about her Princess doona cover and spent half the afternoon getting in and out of her new bed. She was a bit upset come actual bedtime, but she got over that pretty quick and is now sleeping soundly.

Isn't she gorgeous??!!

We're Savvy September Reveal

Although this month's We're Savvy kit has now Sold Out, I thought I'd share what I managed with this gorgeous kit today at crop. This kit is PERFECT for all of my holiday photos, and I can't wait to get the rest of the October Afternoon Seaside in the store (which will hopefully be tomorrow!).

This one was a current sketch over at Pagemaps, 8.5x11 size for our album of our mini break to Ettalong Beach a month before Georgie was born (yeh yeh I know, that was four years ago!).

Another for this album...

And a 6x12 for our most recent QLD trip early this year.

Today was my Mummy's birthday and we have had a lovely day together - first of all having crop day and then out for dinner tonight with all the family. Here's a few pics:

My Georgie with her Grandma

Mum with just a few of her grandkids

Me & my big sis Nic (isn't she gorgeous!)

Another big day & night for me tomorrow (as per bloody usual of late!) so its just about bedtime for me, night all!

Its been a lovely weekend here with some time out with my man, which was very much needed.

With some wine, beer & strongbow (of course)...

More From Anthea's Retreat Class

Last night at crop I finally had a chance to do the second class layout from Anthea's Retreat Class using Pink Paislee Bayberry Cottage. Lots of fussy cutting involved but totally fun & totally worth it! I changed mine a little and used five smaller photos instead of three, using photos from our recent pyjama road trip to Scraploot!

There was a little bit of kit product leftover so I got creative and managed to get a THIRD layout from this class kit, all I added was another piece of white cardstock and one of my brand new Purple Pumpkin flowers. I tried to stick to the same style and techniques I learnt in the class, and I think Anthea would be proud of my effort! :)

There are still a few of these gorgeous class kits left in the Scrapbook Savvy store, a very reasonable class at only $35 for two step by step layouts. Get yours now!

My hubby & I are off to Berry for a night away today, so looking forward to 24 hours of peace & quiet! Thanks so much for my friend Sam and my Mum for helping me out with the kids, we're so lucky to have such an awesome support network around us. Hope your weekend is awesome, mine will be! :)

Kreativ Blogging & He's Savvy Reveal

Thank you to my dear friend Ez for passing on this blogger award to me. Mwah!

As with most bloggers awards, there are a few rules:
1. Copy the award to your blog
2. Insert a link to the person who nominated you
3. Share seven things about yourself that you haven’t told us before
4. Nominate other bloggers for the award – share the love
5. Link to their blogs
6. Tell the nominees about their award

Alrighty, seven things I haven't told you, let me think....

1. I have two golden labradors, Kiara & Kobe, and our boy Kobe lost one of his eyes at nine months old to a tumour.
2. My mum is one of 11 children, so I have a ton of relatives all over place, half of which I wouldn't know if I tripped over them.
3. I have been applying for jobs for a little while, with no success....and I have to admit I kind of don't WANT to go back to 'real work'.
4. My favourite band of all time is Live and I've seen them in concert numerous times, and the song Throwing Copper came on the radio in the hospital while I was in full labour with Bronte, freaky.
5. At the moment I feel very jealous of my big sister. She seems so totally in control at the moment, which I totally am not feeling right now!
6. My paperwork for Savvy is out of control. Big time.
7. I wear my hair up most days, pure laziness really.

So there you have it, a few random facts about me. :)

I would like to pass this onto the following bloggers:

1. Alicia
2. Sara
3. Tess
4. Crystal

And now, even thought its totally sold out, I thought I'd share the rest of my pages from this month's He's Savvy kit. I have already done the one I showed for the kit challenge, and here's another four...so five layouts in total so far and could easily get another couple if I add some cardstock. Great value for money at $45, don't you think?

A couple of really big photos, love how they fill up most of the page.

Totally inspired by a layout San did at crop last Friday night, thanks for the idea with the circle chip San!

Sketch #54 at Inspired Blueprints, perfect for this photo of my boy taken by my beautiful friend Lauren at Red Door Photography.

And my babies and their cousins on Xmas Day last year, love this photo (even if Sid is looking like he'd rather be ANYWHERE else).

If you're sad that you missed out on this gorgeous He's Savvy kit and are looking for some boy scrapping goodness yourself...make sure you head over and subscribe to our He's Savvy Kit to be guaranteed a gorgeous package of boy scrappy goodness in your mailbox at the beginning of each month.

Alright, thats it from me today, hope you're having a good week. :)

More She's Savvy By Sar!

I have managed two more pages and my September She's Savvy kit is well and truly used up! I have a few little embellies and a couple of strips left and not much alpha at all. BUT five pages all up, and all of them featuring loads of product.

This is the Scrapbook Savvy Sketch for this month, LOVED all the layering, thanks Anthea!

And this was my last page, so pretty much used whatever paper I had left, and used the My Minds Eye playing cards for the title...which happened to just fit my page perfectly! Love it when that happens.

Don't forget to grab one before they're all gone, I promise you'll love it!

A very relaxing Fathers Day happening here, our plans of going to the local football grand final were cancelled due to the gale force winds experienced throughout the Illawarra overnight and this morning. We were awoken by Cooper yelling 'the trampoline is upside down, quick!' and raced outside in our pj's to tie it down and rescue all my handmade quilts off the line, thank goodness they didn't go flying across the valley! We visited my dad this morning and have spent the rest of the day together just watching movies and hanging out.

Here's my babies with their Daddy...

And then with my Daddy...

And me with my Dad, wish I could've spent more time with him today...

Hope you're having a good day with your husbands, dad & grandads, and that you get to spend this special day together as a family. xoxoxo

She's Savvy September Reveal

I've now had time to play with the new She's Savvy Kit, and I just love it! So pretty and so many cute bits to go with it. This kit is based around the brand new My Minds Eye Alphabet Soup girly range, which is just perfect for all those little girl pages we have to do (and omg, I have a LOT!). The handmade embellishment pack from Purple Pumpkin is just gorgeous too, my new love.

Here's what I've managed so far:

There are still some of these beautiful kits available in the store, head over and grab yours today!

SCRAPBOOKING DELIGHTS SALE - DON'T MISS OUT!

Don't forget local Wollongong girls, Scrapbooking Delights has 20% OFF STOREWIDE (including NEW stock!). Sale ends Saturday 4 September 2010 so head in between 9.30am and 2.30pm and grab some awesome bargains.

Here's a page I did last weekend using American Crafts Dear Lizzy, some of which is still available at Delights.

I went to another awesome crop with San & the girls at Delights tonight, always love going there and borrowing (or maybe stealing!) San's mojo and ideas. I did learn one very important thing at crop tonight though...wearing slippers to crop is NOT such a good idea...especially when its raining when we finish and I end up with wet feet!

I did manage three pages tonight from the latest Savvy Kits, so I'll photograph and share those in the morning!!

Till then! Mwah and thanks for visiting!
