Weekend of Sickness & Scrapping

OMG, I'm so sick...I have the sorest throat ever, its swollen as and the doctor put me on antibiotics yesterday. I have headaches and I have a mouthful of ulcers...and theres more, I'm falling apart! Basically I'm rundown and need to start taking better care of myself... :(

I was starting to get sick over the weekend but figured if I scrapped and ignored it I would be fine...not so! At least some pages got done though. :) Here they are.

A just because page of Cooper giving Daniel his fathers day present two years ago, so cute.

An old xmas page that I had been putting off (as we do with all xmas photos, eh!). I used a Pagemaps sketch and the brand new Cosmo Cricket Jolly By Golly range that you'll find in the Scrapbook Savvy store.

And another 6x12 page for the holiday albums, loving how quickly this size comes together! Used October Afternoon Road Map for this one, one of my fave ranges at the moment.

And this double of Cooper's 2007 school photos that I've obviously been putting off...have edited for privacy reasons. :)

Hope everyone has a happy Tuesday...mine will be as soon as I can get myself back into bed!

Blind Scrapping @ SFS

If you love blind scrapping and were wondering where you can find a regular place to do this...head on over to Scrapbooking From Scratch! I joined Peta and the girls on Thursday night and LOVED the layout we created, thanks so much Pj for a wonderful night full of laughs and fun and creativity. Mwah!

We had another awesome crop night @ Savvy last night, all booked out once again! I love that I have so much local support and girls travelling from not so close as well. Can't wait for the next one! I only managed one layout which I haven't photographed yet as the weather here today has been very wild and windy, its blowing a gale right now...I think Juzzy will get blown away when she leaves here (which will surely be well after midnight again, hehe!).

Happy Saturday night!! xoxo

The World is Orange!

Well it was this morning when I woke up! After the massive duststorm that swept across NSW, the whole world looked orange and there was a strange feeling across the dawn here.

The wind swept the orange away fairly quickly, but left behind is a dusty cover over everything in sight. The car, the house, the table on the balcony. Now we need a big rain to get rid of it all!

So an inside day was had here, and let me tell you I can't wait for the kids to all go to daycare tomorrow! ;)

Here's the one and only layout I finished at yesterday's crop @ Savvy, my nephew Adam celebrating his 17th birthday earlier this year. He's a bit of a spunk, eh!

Happy hump day...only two more days till the weekend! :)

Happy Scrappy Weekend

Thats what I had here, plenty of time with scrapbooking friends and even a few layouts done! Friday night was crop night @ Scrapbooking Delights and I had a ball. Then Saturday night I was joined by Emma, Deslie & Juzzy for some scrapping here @ Savvy. Two late nights in a row didn't agree too well with me though, and I was shattered by Sunday morning... :)

Here's some of what I did, some I can't show off just yet.

This month's Savvy Scraplift, which was a lift of one of Kayla's amazing pages.

This is a lift of my own layout, as Cooper's teacher asked me to do one for her...

And Me @ Xmas last year, using the gorgeous new Cosmo Cricket Jolly By Golly range.

I had cuddles with my new nephew Spike on Saturday, omg he is just so cute! Here's an updated pic of the gorgeous boy.

Its looking like a lovely day here, playgroup at the park this morning then home to get organised for Savvy Crop tomorrow.

Have a happy Monday!

Not much to show...

Can't show much today as one of my layouts over the weekend was from Lisa's Blind Scrap @ Savvy on Saturday night and we're not showing those until Wednesday. The instructions are still up in the forum so head on over and give it a go.

Another was a future sketch for Inspired Blueprints so can't show that either...

So here's what I can show and its appropriate to show it today. This is my friend Kellie's little boy James, who is in hospital at the moment with high temps. Thinking of you guys and hoping your boy is home soon. xoxo

Not much else to tell, have been catching up on paperwork and figures for Savvy tonight, omg what a big job. Note to self:- Don't EVER leave paperwork for over two months again, it really isn't worth it... **sigh**

Bye for now,
Sar

Lovely Saturday

What a gorgeous Saturday here in Wollongong, the sun is shining and it feels like Summer! Here's a couple of pics from this morning, we spent most of today with my friends Juzzy & Amanda and all the kids.

Home for sleeps and now its nearly time for the dinnertime rush. But before that, here's some scrapping for you.

Peta's blind scrap layout from the other night, using the brand new Webster's Pages Nature's Storybook...which is just divine and PERFECT for boys. xoxo

Another layout using the Websters, my one and only from the Savvy crop last night.

A just because layout using some old Elsie, and a Hambly transparency on gorgeous Dotted Swiss. Love this photo of Cooper & Charlotte. And the title just melts me... 'Friendship is a knot tied by angels hands'. Awwwww!

Thats it for now, planning on some more scrapping tonight and tomorrow. I need to put together some more page kits, my mojo wanes big time when I'm not organised and I seem to just shuffle papers for hours with no result! Might start that now actually...there's a few minutes before I have to start dinner... ;)

Cheers,
Sar

Some layouts...

...from the weekend.

Gorgeous pic of Bronte's at Nic's 40th B'day...gotta love this Prima, they just finish a layout, don't they?!

Some pics of Coop that have been hanging around waiting to be scrapped for far too long.

This month's Sketch Challenge over @ Savvy.

Another great Crop Day held here today, we all had a lovely day and I got lots of work done in between doing one lousy layout! ;)

Hope you're having a happy Tuesday!

Cheers,
Sar

Heads up for Savvy CC!!

Photobucket

Our Fathers Day @ Grandad's

It went like this...

Photos & presents with Grandad

And beer for Grandad of course

Cuddles with Grandma

Some bike riding

And some falling off!

Prune & Chocolate Brownies made by Nic - divine!!

And then it ended with this when Coop & Uncle Rob were playing footy...

But Georgie missed all the excitement!

And that was Fathers Day, a great day which would've been even better had DH not had to work. :( When he got home at 7.30pm last night he was greeted by three kids sitting at the top of the stairs with the little cards and gifts they'd made at preschool, and that was enough for him! :)

Overwhelmed

Thats one word to describe the response to the Savvy DT call, so far over 20 names on the list! With less than a week's notice to advertise, I'd say thats pretty awesome eh?! The first half of the first challenge is due on Monday night, so hopefully all the girls are plugging away at their layouts and criteria. :) Can't wait to see them all!

I've had three nights scrapping in a row - Thursday here with Juzzy, Friday night @ Scrapbooking Delights Crop and tonight here with Kindra & Hayley. I'm so lucky to have such an awesome scrapbooking group, can't imagine life without them all! Haven't had a chance to photograph my layouts yet, but here's some I haven't shown you from last weekend.

This is a major mix of old and new product, brought to life with the gorgeous yellow Prima flower, one of my faves at the moment!

This photo is of me, the moment I hit the button on the mouse and agreed to buy Scrapbook Savvy! Such a defining moment in my life...my gf's Juzzy & Amanda were here and insisted on taking a pic...I'm so glad they did!

A very strange size I know, but here is a 6x12 layout of some holiday photos from a couple of years ago. I have some 6x12 American Crafts albums lying around and I thought they'd be just perfect for holiday albums, so thats what I'm doing. It was actually really fun to scrap this size and I can't wait to do more.

Once again, a big mix of old and new product. I am trying really hard to use some of my old stash, and not just use brand new products off the shelf all the time! Any scrapper would know how dangerous this could be...and the temptation with having my store right here at home is sometimes unbearable! I do give in, often, I admit it... ;)

I had to play with this new piece of Scrapware as soon as it arrived. Another one designed by my gorgeous friend Lisa Warren, its called a Circle Journal Strip and works as a main feature on your page. Love it!

Thats it from me, have a hubby here that needs some time spent with him, happy fathers day babe and thanks for being such a great daddy and husband, love you! xoxo

Cheers,
Sar
