Thanks to my gorgeous friend Loz for sending me the photos from the Scrapbooking Delights retreat last weekend - they turned out awesome!!!!

We had so much fun, laughs with friends, its a weekend I'll never forget. Thanks for the awesome time, girls! Can't wait to do it again next year...but next year is going to be a combined Scrapbooking Delights/Scrapbook Savvy retreat, how great will that be! Head over to this thread in the Savvy forum if you're interested in joining us and finding out more details...

All of us! (This one was taken by the owner of the retreat place.)

Me & Tiff Sawyer - was awesome to meet you IRL for the first time Tiff! You're a gorgeous girl, can't wait to catch up again soon. xoxo

Me & Lisa Warren - without your help I'd be lost, thanks for being a friend and for helping me out with kits, ideas & all your gorgeous work.

Me & Loz - its never enough time together is it hun, you better come down and visit me really soon!

Me & Kindra & Leesh - Kindra is Alicia's neighbour and I can't imagine her not being a part of our world now! Love spending time with you & the kids, scrapping, quilting, just hanging out, whatever!

Me & my besties - Leesh & Linda.

Me & Hayles & Kel - omg these girls are so much fun! Hayles, you just crack me up, I know I can always rely on you for a laugh. And Kel, we've been through so much together and have come out it such good friends, can't imagine it any other way. xoxo

And some layouts from my weekend, here goes...

This photo was taken last time I visited Loz, we had an unreal scrap day with Peta & Kate. Gorgeous girls, can't wait for the next time. And girls...I just had to use the big ass bird to tease you...rofl! Oh, I took inspiration for this page from Kim Arnold, thanks for letting me lift you Kim!

My take on Lisa's sketch challenge from the last Savvy CC.

My gorgeous niece Chloe at Cooper's Fire Station B'day Party last year. I used the new To The Rescue range for this, just perfect for all those fire pics I have of the kids.

Crazy eyes Bronte!

This is the 3rd time I've scrapped this pic. One for me, one for Cooper's album and one for Georgie's album! Love it.

I totally scraplifted ANOTHER page from Peta, and proud to admit it! I could lift this girl on every layout, I reckon...

When we got to the retreat we received a challenge kit and had to do a page using the products in the kit. Here's mine. Love the bow.

Woah, another massive post! If you're still reading, thanks for visiting and go leave me some love!

Oh and I need to say a big CONGRATS to my hubby Daniel, his team won the Southern Mines Rescue Competition for the second time in three years. Awesome job babe, you make me proud. Better luck next year Dendrobium. ;)

Cheers, Sar

This time 5 years ago...

...I was still in labour with my first baby, it was horrendous and something I will never forget. But omg, it was worth it in the end when my gorgeous boy, Cooper David, entered the world at 12.06pm on 29 August 2004. 15 years to the day after Daniel's mum passed away. :( He changed a sad day for our family into a happy day, and for making that day happy for his Daddy is something I'll be forever grateful for.

And our little family on this happy morning. :) Taken with the self timer with the camera balancing on the steps and Mummy running across the room like a crazy woman to get in the frame in time! LOL!

Happy Birthday baby, have an awesome day! xoxo

Are you lacking inspiration in your scrapping? Then head on over to Inspired Blueprints for the latest Sketch #28. It looks a bit like this:

And here's my take:

Make sure you upload to the gallery for your chance to win some awesome prizes!

I had an AWESOME time at retreat, still recovering and trying to sort the shop out. Many thanks to Sandra for her support, Lisa for her help and all my girls for saving my ass when I was run off my feet! Mwah! Be back soon with a layout share.

Retreating Again!

Well I'm off to the Scrapbooking Delights retreat today! The shop is all packed up and ready to go, so if you're shopping online you'll notice the Scrapbook Savvy store is down. It'll be back on Monday after I've amended all the stock movement from the weekend.

Before I go though, I better share the rest of my layouts from the last retreat!

Like I said in earlier post, I relied a lot on sketches and scraplifts to get so much done in such a short time.

These are Pagemaps sketches.

This one is also a Pagemaps Sketch but is also the sketch challenge over at Anna's Craft Cupboard this month.

I also used some old Inspired Blueprints sketches - some I hadn't done, and some I had! Love all of these, its just the best sketch site around! :)

This was IB Sketch #2, one of the first couple released!

And IB Sketch #3.

And IB Sketch #25 - this is one of my faves and this is the 3rd time I've done this sketch!

This one is a layout that I totally scraplifted from Peta, thanks babe! These flowers were given to me by my friend Deslie when I bought Savvy, such a sweetheart. xoxo

And lastly, Charm's Sketch at Bon's.

OMG, thats a LOT of layouts! Wish me luck for getting lots done this weekend as well...somehow I think with running the store though, I'm not going to be quite as productive!

Cheers,
Sar

Stephanie Howell

Have you ever read Stephanie Howell's blog? If you haven't, you're totally missing out. Not only is her scrapping TO DIE FOR, she is an awesome storyteller and i wait on the edge of my seat for her next blog post. Check it out here.

Here is a layout that I completely and utterly scraplifted from Stephanie. I LOVED this paper but like lots of people just didn't know what to do with it. When I saw this page over on Stephanie's blog, I just had to copy it, yep right down to the little yellow brads. Thanks for the inspiration, Stephanie!!!

Here's to inspiring scrapbookers, and inspiring people in general. xoxo

Facelift

So the lil' old blog has had a facelift, what do you think?? :)

Thought I'd grab this time at 10.15pm on Sunday night, on my third Strongbow, to show you a few more of my Melbourne layouts.

My class layouts, all of which I just LOVE!

This was the class with the gorgeous Charmane Koch. It was AWESOME to meet Charm in real life, she is just the sweetest thing. And that belly, soooo cute! Waiting for news, she's ready to have her new bub at any time now. :)

Then the next three...omg, this was an AWESOME class with Peta, three layouts in two hours, can you believe it!!! Thanks again for an awesome time in Melbourne, Pj...it was a blast!

How are your Savvy CC layouts going? I'm yet to do any...shocking I know, but packing to take the shop to the Scrapbooking Delights retreat is taking up all my time. Can't wait to see yours in the gallery. :)

Layouts

So I thought I'd share the 24 layouts I did while retreating over the next few days, as I find a few spare minutes to upload them!

Here are the originals, that weren't lifted or a challenge or a sketch, my just because layouts. I admit, there weren't many of these as I mainly relied on other ideas to get so much scrapping done (shock horror!!).

New October Afternoon Roadmap paper, such an awesome range for boys!

Finally used an overlay I'd had for ages, combined it with the new Basic Grey Lemonade range. Such a beautiful pic of Georgia, one taken by Miss Emma.

Coop, being a typical boy at the park, love this shot of him.

My tiny Bronte girl, this was the photo I used on her thank you cards. Used the gorgeous Collage Press Margot range which you'll find in clearance over at Savvy.

All the kids (well not ALL but some of) at Bronte's birthday party, looking across the valley off my balcony.

My nephew Sid on his 5th birthday, using scraps leftover from Peta's class.

One of me using Bella Sarah Jane from Scrapbooking Delights. I got inspiration from Kim on the title, she did one not long ago called 'Just Kim'.

Thats it for the originals, I'll upload my class and sketch layouts soon.

If you're looking for something to do this weekend, head on over to the Savvy forum for the August Cybercrop! We're blind scrapping as I type this, lots of fun. You've got till midnight Thursday 20 August to upload your layouts, so plenty of time to play along! Hope to see you there.

Before I go, here's a pic of my big boy Cooper, who two days ago rode his bike without the training wheels for the first time ever! His Daddy was so proud, as was I. He's growing up too quick and will be 5 in two weeks, I can't believe it!

xoxo
